A friend of mine majored in history and got her MLS. She worked with the National Archives for a while, and now she’s working with one of the presidential libraries – Nixon, I think. Many of my other friends got their MLS degrees as well. Some are working in college libraries, in the main libraries as well as the smaller private collections, another is a corporate librarian for a Fortune 500 company, and a few more work at K-12 schools. An MLS is becoming very popular.
