What are some interesting leadership and improv questions to ask a leader of a college improv troupe?
Ask the leader if the group or individuals should practice the Meisner Technique. If yes, then why not the other acting techniques, If not then why not? Don’t accept an answer like, “Whatever you feel more comfortable with, or whatever works for you” because acting is a serious art form worthy of serious considerations and if someone asks a serious question inquiring about the Meisner Technique or any acting technique in the right setting such as an improv troupe then a thoughtful and truthful answer is justified. Good luck. Most professors of Drama or leaders of Theatre arts troupes will try very hard not to give you a solid answer because they are afraid or they really don’t know what they’re talking about. And it’s ok to research this stuff and confront them on these issues. Great question!!!
