What are some interesting “How to” or persuasive speech topics?
Regarding the “How to” topic: do you play a sport? My son had an assignment like this & decided on the “How to” play hockey presentation. He knew he was up first for the second day. He put his books, etc. on his desk & quickly left the room. When the bell rang the teacher took attendance and made a comment regarding my son not being there for his presentation. One of his buddies volunteered to go in his place. While the other kid was standing at his desk in the front of the room–supposedly gathering his goods, my son came charging in, wearing his school hockey jersey, and “checked” his buddy into/over the desk. The teacher told them to begin their speeches with an “attention grabber.” I think he did (friend was not injured). He then explained a basic overview of the game, including some plays & rules. He did bring some of his hockey gear–mainly showing all the pads, etc. necessary to play. He also brought his mini hockey net, foam pucks, and mini hockey sticks and demonstrated as he
