Found in areas with warm summers, cool winters and enough rainfall to allow forest growth – most dominant trees are: eucalyptus, pine, cypress, hemlock, giant sequoia, spruce, and fir – hardy trees — poor quality soil (can be sandy, rocky), fires, cold weather and droughts – dominated by pine trees – Sequoia’s – Kings Canyon National Park in California – Deciduous trees – in evergreen forests in the Rocky Mountains Broad-leaf evergreens – eastern Asia, coastal regions of New Zealand and Australia, and parts of Chile
