What are some important events in world history from 1995-2010?
nothing beats 9/11/01 in my mind. I live in New York and I can still remember that day like today: ironically: it was a stunningly beautiful morning…perfectly blue sky…I was getting ready for work…suddenly I got a phone call from someone who told me there was a “bomb” in the World Trade Center…I tried to turn on the TV to get the news…it didn’t work except for maybe one channel (I didn’t realize that the antennas broadcasted off the roof of the World trade Center–so that was the end of TV for the next few weeks!) cells phones were all jammed…the city was evacuated…trains weren’t running…plenty of people I know walked miles from Manhattan over the brooklyn bridge… also: the Tsunami of 2004 was a very major tragedy…and of course, Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans of 2005…
