What are some ideas for recycling my used tires?
I don’t recommend growing potatoes or other vegetables in tires. I admit it can increase yields but harmful chemicals can leach from the tires into the soil. There are tire recycling centers that grind the tires into chips to be burned for power generation, mixed into pavement or used as landscape mulch. Ask a tire store how to get rid of used tires. As for making playground equipment use your imagination. One possible negative about letting kids play on tires, the tires might leave black stains on the kid’s clothes and skin. Also tires fill with water when it rains.
