Well, the main thing is colour, colour, and colour again. A page full of colour is better than a drawing without any background. Make full use of multimedia to make your sketch book to look better, e.g. cardboard, printing, newspapers etc. Also don’t just draw on plain sheets, paint on newspaper then stick in it, or tear the page in half. Forget about being neat and tidy, bulk up the sketch book to make it look more lively and exciting to look at. Those are simple to do, but the best thing to do is to look at some other sketch books for ideas.
