What are some ideas for a mad-scientist haunted house?
In our haunted house last year we had our final room set up as “The Laboratory.” There were great answers from other people and instead of going over the same stuff I’ll just add. For the test tubes and beakers – Don’t limit yourself to just those types of containers, shot glasses, bath salts (the jar with the salts left in it) , and any other strange looking container will look great. They have “neon” food die’s but they do not react under a black light, instead get highlighters, cut them open and let them soak in water. Then use that water to fill the containers. Don’t forget to label them as well… as long as people can read from where they will be placed. Oh and don’t forget to have a few filled with something like ammonium (glass cleaner) for smell. Having a small tv with just static on the screen works well to light the scene as well as look eerie. Get a lab coat from a nurse supply store.
