I work with children and the most popular ones seem to be anything which is very upbeat. Songs from the 90s are always a hit, Steps, Aqua (as someone mentioned already), S Club, and songs from the Mamma Mia soundtrack, High School Musical soundtrack. Ones which have a dance they may already know or you can teach them might be ok too, like Saturday Night (Whigfield) or The Macarena and even the Cha Cha Slide. You could always buy a Pop Party CD, they are upbeat and have a variety of songs on them too. Oh, don’t forget the all improtant Armarillo song from the early 2000s, for some reason the kids go mad for that one! Good luck and happy partying!
