What are some great ideas of things to do in the St. Louis area?
There is a lot to do in this city and the metro area, and it would take forever to list them all, so check out this link, and it will get you started on finding yourself some fun things to do. http://www.explorestlouis.com/ Here is another link for the Riverfront Times weekly newspaper (you can get the free RFT paper copy of this all over) that has places to eat, drink, see live bands…ect http://www.rftstl.com/ Here are some links to some outdoor activities. http://stlouis.missouri.org/citygov/park⦠http://www.stlouisco.com/parks/ http://www.mostateparks.com/ Since you will be here on the fourth of July you may want to check this link out
You’d probably find these on one of the sites already listed in the last answer, but since they sound so cool I thought I’d point them out for you … Cyndi Lauper is playing for free at LIVE on the Levy on July 4th. The City Museum opens up the bar and a ‘playground’ for adults on Fridays and it’s supposed to be really fun (so I’ve heard from other in their mid-20s). I’ve never actually gone to the City Museum and all I’ve written is what I’ve gathered by word of mouth (from several people that have never met). I looked at the City Museum website (link below) a little bit and couldn’t find anything specific to adults. Maybe you could look closer and find something? I’ve been to a few concerts at the Pageant in St. Louis (on Delmar). I like it because it’s not too crowded and it’s not far from the metroLink so I don’t have to drive there. You can see who’s playing by googling “the Pageant St. Louis”. I last saw KT Tunstall there and it was awesome. The second link is on the celebratest
If you have kids, the City Museum is the lace to go. It somes some history, but mostly it’s a huge playground. The St. Louis zoo is always a great place to go. When I visit realitives, that’s where I go. The Arch is downtown, but I’ve never been there. My sister has though, and she said you ride in a elevator to the top. Don’t spend all your time downtown. If you want to go out to eat, for lunch or dinner, Imo’s and Massa’s are the greatest. Imo’s are dropped all over town. Massa’s is on Manchester, 1 business away from New Ballwin. I don’t live there, so that’s all i can give you. Also, if you like swimming, there’s this place called Riverchase in Fenton. And don’t forget Forest Park. Check it out.
