What are some great ideas for activities for the disabled?

Any game can be played by someone who is disable, you just have to modify the game some. Volleyball: Play using an inflatable beach ball. I’ve had kids who use walkers, crutches, and wheelchairs play the game together and have a blast. Baseball: Put the bases closer together. Also, if you have someone who has a hard time holding on to the bat use Velcro to wrap around there hands and the bat, works great just takes a little practice getting it wrapped right. Set up a maze and have one person talk the other through it. Relay races are really great especially if you work with different ability levels. Just let me know if you need more ideas, I have tons!! The only things you have to keep in mind are they go do everything everyone else does, just a little differently and if you have different ability levels make sure you put an even number of each level on teams.

Whatever be the ideas for activities for the disabled, the greatest idea may be ‘not to act with them reminding them that they are disabled’.
