What are some good workouts to improve my running speed?
You do realize that those are some really good times and you’d likely be put in the first heat of the races for those if there weren’t really good kids also on the team. I’m just warning you of this because I’ve set my expectations too high before and I got nowhere with them. If you don’t run close to that then the chances of running those times are really slim. For the 100 you’re going to need a lot of quick energy and muscle control. I highly recommend running stairs or doing bleachers (up a set of bleachers, down, 10 push ups and repeat for a set of 5 (what we usually do but you can do as many as you want to). SJs are nasty (they’re so bad according to our sprinters they only refer to them by their initials as if they’re curse words, it stands for sprint-jogs). What you do for these is you start off sprinting 100 meters and then jogging another 100. Your coach will set a time to get to the 200 m mark and will blow a whistle when you’re to sprint another 100 and then jog another. You
