What are some good wedding gifts for people in the wedding party?
Usually you give all of the attendants a gift, i.e. the Maid of Honor and the Best Man, the Bridesmaids and the Groomsmen, the Flower Girl, the Ring Bearer, anyone doing readings, the person guarding the gifts (not always done but a nice gesture), the person manning the guest book (like the person guarding the gifts, not always done but definitely a gesture of appreciation) the Mother of the Bride/Groom, the Father of the Bride/Groom. If you’re on that tight of a budget, then maybe do some gift baskets for the girls (you can get stuff for them at 99cent stores), a single flower for the Moms, a couple of coloring books and crayons for the Flower Girl and Ring Bearer (depending on age) and a simple wallet or money clip for the guys. It all depends on how thrifty you are.
The mother of the bride & groom should get like a single rose or something like that. I didn’t get them a gift. Every one in the party should get a gift. including the brides maids, flower girl, ring barer, & the person that greets & lets people sign the book. For the females, I found this little sterling silver shop in my town that had all kinds of charms for a really good price.(4.95) I got the the flower girl one that was flowers in a basket, the brides maids was a bouquet of flowers, & the greeter one that was an open book. They had necklaces you could put them on or if anyone has a charm bracelet, they can just add it to that. The best man owned a car dealership, so we got him a wooden clock in the shape of a car for his office. The ring barer got a plain sterling silver rope necklace. Hope this helps. Wow. It amazes me how we expect people to spend money to be in our weddings, but yet we don’t want to spend any money on them…tight budget or not. Try going to places like Marshall’s or TJ Maxx where you can get some nicer stuff for cheaper. Maybe you can get a nice cheap pair of sterling silver earrings for the girls for $10. All the bridesmaids and groomsman should get gifts. People who are readers in the wedding and ushers, also. Flower girl and ring bearer.
