I read an article awhile back that says many firms are starting to post jobs on their own website instead of job posting services. It appears the national sites are not only spamming applicants but also the job posters. Also, many hiring managers expressed frustration on the wide variety of locations and skill sets that responded to ads on CareerBuilder and/or Monster. I’ve discovered and acquired my last two positions from visiting the individual sites. I’m a banker. So, that makes my search a little easier as I limit it to banking websites.
