What are some good volleyball drills to do alone?
I feel for you. I was an only child and luckily I had a good friend that was learning volleyball with me so we peppered until arms were going to fall off. As an only child though, I’ll use my imagination and try to come up with some things. One for setting, one for hitting, and one for passing. You should always use old balls for this. The constant bouncing in these drills, unless you have access to a gym, will ruin them quickly. Passing: Let’s call it “the Speed Control Drill” Needed:you and a ball Take a ball, throw it against a wall, nice and high. Pass that as close as you can to a designated area on the same wall. (pretend it’s a setter, so make it your height.) Take the same ball, throw it harder against the wall, pass it to the target. Continue throwing hard and soft and vary the direction. You will learn how to take some power off the ball on hard-driven serves and you’ll learn how to power soft free balls. Setting: Let’s call this the “Target Control Drill” Needed: You, a ball
