What are some good stomach exercises that won hurt my neck/back?
It looks like you’re looking to lose weight in your midsection. Core exercises won’t do that. You need to look at your diet, and increase your general activity. Actual exercises will not target fat loss to specific regions of your body. Fat loss is a systemic response… meaning you lose fat throughout the entire body. However the body may store more fat in certain places based on your hormonal profile. So if you have extra fat in your stomach region, it’s probably due to your insulin levels. In short, watch your sugars. Keep in mind doing exercises for your abdominals will just make it bigger not leaner. So if all you do is – for example, crunches, you’re just going to increase the size of your stomach while the fat stays on top of the muscle. It doesn’t hurt to have a well developed core but I don’t think that is your aim. To answer your actual question, leg raises would work well.
