What are some good movies similar to Donnie Darko/Butterfly Effect?
I saw a very good one that is still in theaters called Chole staring Julianne Moore, Liam Neeson, and Amanda Seyfried (Mama Mia and Across the Universe, Letters to Juliet, Dear John). (Heavy R rating). What you might like are some of the independent movies. These you often have to go to some of the smaller theaters, often near colleges and universities. Many are great, some are not but a good tip is if there are one or more well known actors in them. This often indicates that the actor likes the script so much that they are not taking a lot of money for it. Now if the actor actually wrote the script, be just a bit wary of it.
