What are some good marine biology schools in warm climates?

Well the ones I know of are in the South. UT Austin has a Marine Bio program, A&M Galveston has a great marine bio program (that’s what the majority of students there are majoring in), Florida Institute of Technology has a marine bio program. Then again, both Texas and Florida are hot, not warm! Chuckles is right, plan on getting more than a B.S. in Marine Biology. It is competitive, but if you like it then go for it. The problem with Marine Bio is that most people going into it want to get their Bachelors and work at Sea World with Dolphins. Most of the time this doesn’t work out. There are also not too many professors when going to grad school in Marine Biology that are studying dolphins or marine mammal behavior. However, if you are interested in Invertebrates, algae, plankton, or something similar you shouldn’t have a problem finding a mentor for grad school.
