What are some good majors for becoming a pediatrician?

Alot of pre-med students end up majoring in a science particularly biology, chemistry, or biochemistry. Most colleges don’t offer a “pre-med” major. Instead pre-med is a concentration which consists of several courses (2 biology, 2 chemistry, 2 physics and usually math an English). Because science majors include several of these courses, quite a few people pick these majors. But medical schools encourage you to explore your interests while in college and liberal arts majors have just as good of a chance of getting into med schools as science majors (and some may say a better chance as a history major would be unique in a crowd of bio majors). I’ve personally know English, economics, psychology, and anthropology majors go to medical school. The bottom line really is to just major in whatever interests you and take the pre-med courses. Ultimately, your GPA will be higher and you will be more satisfied.
