What are some good LOW FAT tofu recipes?
To make extra low fat, use soft tofu. 1/2 cup of soft tofu has 4.6 grams of fat, compared to firm tofu which has 11 grams in the same 1/2 cup. Soft tofu makes a good fat replacer in dessert recipes like quick breads, cream pies, and cakes; or in soups and dips. Depending on what you add it can remain low fat, but also depending on the recipe, might be high in sugars. I like to blend soft tofu with seasoning for a veggie dip. You can also do this warm in the crock pot for a lovely warm winter dip.
