What are some good inexpensive surround sound systems?
Like what the other answer says, its generally difficult to find a quality surround sound system for such a low price… But… considering that, I can tell you which brand to look for it you absolutely must go with such a low price. I would recommend looking into JBL, Onkyo, Infinity or klipsch. Generally those brand names tend to stay in the higher end markets BUT you may be able to find a lower priced system from them. All four of them are great brandnames in the area of audio quality. Some brands I would avoid are Panasonic, Sony, Samsung and Bose. I would especially avoid Bose because they’re all marketing and no quality in my experience. Sony, Samsung and Panasonic make great TVs for the most part, but, they simply do not sell quality sound solutions. I would highly recommend raising your budget a little, although, given your current budget you can’t go wrong with the four brand names I mentioned at the top.
