What are some good ideas to create a propaganda poster?
Dear Rainy, Think about propaganda. What is it meant to do? How does it do that? In war, either demonizing the enemy or making him appear weak and deserving of scorn is one way. There was a very powerful WWI poster showing the shadow of a German soldier holding a bayonetted rifle. A baby was impaled on the bayonet. Other war posters showed the ruthless, beast enemy raping (well tearing their clothes off) young women and burning homes. But propaganda also was meant to inspire people to work harder. Rosie the riveter was a US idea, born during WWII. You can find information about her on Wikipedia. Just Google “Rosie the riveter”. Companies advertised their participation in the war efforts with full page pictures of war planes and ships explaining briefly how they were helping keep America strong. Then there were the anti-spy posters. These would show a loud mouthed service man bragging with a Japanese spy in the corner, busy scribbling down the information. Or they would be two pictures,
