AB: Some of the nice options for destination dresses are the lightweight fabrics that they have now. French taffeta is a very good fabric because it already has just a slight crinkle in the fabric. It camouflages wrinkles from when you actually arrive to your destination. It’s made to look that way. Silk taffeta is also like that as well. It’s a very lightweight fabric and it keeps you very cool at your destination. One of the things that is really nice about silk, it may be more expensive, but if you’re doing a destination wedding and you’re going to be outside, you even appreciate the fact that you’re wearing a natural fiber that’s going to keep you much cooler than a polyester fiber which generates heat and keeps it close to your body.
