What are some good employability skills?
The one thing that is a sure fire winner is computer skills. The more you have, the better. For general office work, the more you know about MS Office the better, but in general if you can use a wide variety of software for a wide variety of tasks, can troubleshoot an operating system, and even better, have knowledge of servers and networking? You’ll never be hurting for a job- and the pay is usually quite good even if you don’t have a college education. These are skills though that require constant “maintenance”… you have to be learning all the time because technology changes so rapidly. However, they are skills you can teach yourself by reading up on things online, and then just go out and take a certification test to be highly employable with them.
