How about the separation of Church and State, and all the local politicians who want to put some sort of representation of the Ten Commandments in court buildings. Most of these crusaders try to argue that the U.S. legal system is based on the Commandments, but that is wrong: The first five commandments are particularly divisive, pertain only to those of the Christian and Jewish faiths, and have NOTHING to do with U.S. law: – I am the Lord thy God – Thou shalt have no other gods before me – Thou shalt not make for thyself an idol – Thou shalt not make wrongful use of the name of thy God – Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy While the rest of the commandments are certainly worthy rules to live by, most of them (no lying, coveting, or adultery, and honor thy mother & father) are not laws in and of themselves..
