Answer Hi Jenna I wish I could direct you to the perfect place to chat with people who just want chat and friendship. I’m afraid I don’t know of a chat room that fits the bill exactly because I am fairly sure that in most chat rooms there is the risk that someone is there for other reasons. It doesn’t matter if you chat in an age room, as I do infrequently. I am in my 60s so I choose to chat in that age group in a room on Australian BigPond IRC. The regulars are mostly people just looking for friendship and fun and yet every time I am there one or more visitors come into the room and the first thing they do, without usually even saying hello to anyone, is try to get private conversations going with any nickname that appears to be female, or in the case of a female visitor, male. It isn’t an acceptable practice and usually the offender is embarrassed out of the room by everyone making a comment and some requesting that the offender cease trying to priv them.
