It depends on what you are hunting. Some dogs are better suited for upland game. Other breeds are better suited for waterfowl. I am personally fond of both Labs and Golden Retrievers having hunted behind both breeds.

It depends on what you are hunting. If you are hunting ducks, labs are good dogs. If you are hunting coyotes, greyhounds are good dogs. If you are hunting coons, any of the various breeds of **** hounds are good. If you are hunting birds, I prefer German Shorthairs. They will go all day, and still have energy to keep on going.
