What are some good & bad things about owning a BMW M3?
I love the M3, & want to buy one soon but my mom & her friend are trying to talk me out of it they say to insure it cost a lot of money. I plan on getting a 2004-2006 M3 SMG & just wanted to ask people that know more about the M3 what are some good & bad things of owning one. A: The BMW M cars are pure driver’s cars. It something that you would want to take to a test track or drive fast just for the feeling. The engine growl is something that you can’t find anywhere else short of an Italian exotic. The car does everything very well. When the M cars are right, there’s nothing like them, but when their messed up, there’s also nothing like them. They can be hideously expensive to repair. I would bet that you would receive near a 10,000 dollar bill to replace the SMG transmission. A blown engine will be upwards of 15k. A vanos problem or AC unit would be @ 2k or better.
