What are some good arugments to support affirmative action in Public Colleges/Universitys?
the idea of affirmative action is that white rich kids get to go to better schools and focus more time on studying so their applications and test scores are better minority and low income students are unable to go to private school due to funds and the public schools in their areas are often dismal they dont have the same quality of education so of course they will be less prepared and do more poorly on standardized tests like the SAT and the ACT Also these students will have to spend time working to support themselves and their family this prevents them from being in lots of extra curricular activities like their more privileged counterparts.
