I recently just flew with my two year old and one year old (people were scared when they saw us boarding). I do not recommend bringing the car seat. Check it. We did down and checked it on the way back. You cannot put the tray down when they are in the carseat. They sit to high up and the tray doesn’t come all the way down. My son just turned two two weeks before we flew and did great with just the seatbelt in the regular seat. I had a buch of different things for him the pick from. One of the best was his new magnetic train board. He got it just for the flight so he hadn’t played with it yet. It was a magnetic train scene with all the extra parts to place where ever he wanted. Bring a set of head phones they can play with (some airlines supply them). My son loved to plug them in the armrest and change the station himself.
