I live in Chicago, and some areas within the city are VERY gay friendly, especially “Boys Town” which is in the Lakeview/ Wrigley Field area of Chicago near the lake. Also the Andersonville area within Chicago is gay friendly as well. These are all communities within the city of Chicago, on the north-side of the city. Not sure about the suburbs, however.
