For my early childhood vocational class at school we had to come up with Montessori games. Mines was called “High Five Colors”. Materials: One poster board 6 hand cut outs in different colors A paper plate Six colors the same as the hand prints for the spinner An arrow for your spinner 1 fastener ( to maker your spinner spin) Spell out the words High Five Colors at the Top of your poster board. Then glue your different color hands onto the poster board. Now make your spinner. Cut the edges off of your paper plate. Put a hole in your spinner and then put one in your plate. Push your fastener through both the plate and the arrow then close the legs of it. Now draw 6 sections for your six colors and color them the same color as the hands on the poster board. Directions: Have each child take turns spinning the spinner. What ever color it lands on the child has to say the name of the color then find it on the board and give it a high five.
