What are some funny grade 9 science fair projects with “WOW” factor?
I made a Field Mortar Kit in 10th grade, you should check with your school on the legality of it though. Basically you take a broom handle, thats metal and hollow, and you take a cork, and drive a sharp nail through the center of the cork lengthwise so its poking out the other end directly in the center, then you take Co2 canisters (you can buy 3, 10, and 25 packs of them at any sporting store) and drop the canister down the handle, and the nail will puncture the foil on the canister shooting the canister about 200 feet in the air. there are all kinds of ways to rig it to fire laterally so you basically have a cannon. you can make the project itself about effects of long range weaponry or telemetry and azimuth of projectiles.
