What are some french customs?
Some french customs which sound like fun include Poisson d’Avril (or “April Fish”), when kids pin paper fish cut outs on family and friends who are then declared “April Fools.” Wedding parties celebrate the big event by slicing off tops of champagne bottles with a special saber. On the national holiday Bastille Day there’s dancing in the streets, parties, food, fireworks and parades. And on Christmas Eve families celebrate with a special dinner “Le Reveillon” after which kids put their shoes by the fireplace where Pere Noel will leave their presents.
