And you believe that Protestants don’t acknowledge the Nativity? That is being closed-minded and not very Christian at all. What exactly are you wanting to know about it? The movie Nativity Story is a bit more accurate than most people were brought up to believe. According to Luke, there was a census done at the time of his birth during the reign of Cyrenius as governor of Syria. History says this is not true. During the time that is believed to be when he was born (roughly 5BC) there was no Roman census of Jews and there was no governor of Syria named Cyrenius at that time. He did exist and ruled that area but he wasn’t in power at all during the timeframe of the nativity. Romans were meticulous recordkeepers. However Herod who was a Roman king, supposedly ordered a mass infanticide which should have made itself known somewhere but it doesn’t. Yet he is well known (and documented) for killing off his own children and grandchildren.
