No tropicals, sorry. But two nut trees that come to mind are heartnut and Hican. The Heartnut has as you might guess heart shaped nuts like Walnuts. The hican is a Hickory/Pecan hybrid. The nuts look and taste like hickory nuts but are much easier to crack.
