Representing minor children, and often serving as their guardians ad litem, in neglect proceedings brought by the Connecticut Department of Children and Families. Representing a community-based residential educational program serving eight academically motivated minority students from educationally disadvantaged backgrounds. Representing two death row inmates who have brought writs for habeas corpus, claiming Connecticut’s capital punishment procedures are impermissibly infected by racial bias, in violation of Article First, Sections 8 and 20 of the Connecticut Constitution, and the Fifth, Eight, and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution.
