What are some examples of high-level leadership projects?
It is important that Fellows involve their employer in the design of the leadership project. . The following are a few examples: • Providing access to quality pediatric specialty services for children with special health care needs utilizing telehealth technology in a public/private partnership network; • Expanding involvement of nursing leadership in decision-making at strategic levels in the organization; • Leading a major strategic initiative; • Assuring that the unique public health emergency preparedness and response needs of rural communities are addressed by policy-makers and other national leaders; • Developing a project to recruit men and women into nursing who represent socially, economically and educationally challenged communities; • Developing and testing a change strategy or model for organizational change; and • Examining the impact of such factors as gender, race, culture, social status, education, etc. on leadership competencies and organizational effectiveness.
