What Are Some Examples Of Fossil Fuels?
Fossil fuels are fuels that are produced by the organic residue of plants and animals that lay buried under the earth for millenia. They are hydrocarbons found in earth’s crust and were formed as a result of chemical action over ages on organic fossils. Fossil fuels come in a wide variety and range from volatile substances like Ethane, Methane, liquid petroleum, kerosene to non volatile materials like coal (which is composed purely of carbon). They were formed from the fossils of dead plants and animals which have been buried under earth’s crust for millions of years due to earth’s temperature and pressures.
