Machines, tools, equipments are examples of capital goods.

consumer goods basically refers to those things that you can buy on a grocery store such as milk, canned goods, soap etc. while capital goods are those that you (or a capitalist) use to produce consumer goods like machines, raw materials (like wood, minerals etc.), tools and the like.
