What are some examples of capitalism?

Technically, Capitalism is characterized: 1. Production and distribution are privately owned and operated for a private profit 2. Decisions regarding supply, demand, price, distribution, and investments are made by private actors in the market rather than by central planning by the government 3. Profit accrues to the owners of the businesses and wages are paid to those employed by businesses. More importantly, though, Capitalism is simply what happens when you allow individual freedom of choice. That means that you can choose to work, sell and invest — or not. You standard of living will depend on how good and/or diligent you are at that. Business can grow to any size or any geography they want if it means adding more economic return to investors. Small business can become multi-national companies without capitalism, of course. The people appointed to make decisions regarding the economy simply make it happen.
