What are some epic movies?
Uh, Kung Fu Hustle and Unleashed are not epics. Epics are generally classified as movies much longer than two hours, deal with issues beyond the central characters (issues that impact an entire society, a nation or the world), have multiple archs and acts, and take place on a large scale. Braveheart is a classic epic, so is Gone with the Wind, Saving Private Ryan, Lord of the Rings. The Dark Knight is considered epic, though the movie takes place on a small scale, it’s multiple acts and story changes extend the film far beyond your normal 3 act script. Some of the Harry Potter movies could be considered epic as well. Armegeddon, Waterworld…
