What are some engrossing Stephen King books?
I loved the Gunslinger. You could continue reading those books. The third one is very VERY good. I didnt yet read Black House though because I was not impressed by the first one (The Talisman). Of King’s books, the one that grabbed me the fastest was Cell. It’s quite graphic in the beginning, but turns out to be much different than what you initially think. My favorite of his stuff is Misery. It isnt too long and quite interesting. If you saw the movie and liked it, you’ll like the book. While the plot is similar, the actions taken by the characters differ drastically. Some non-horror that he did that was great was Hearts in Atlantis or Bag of Bones. Both are captivating and just all around incredible stories. Some of my other favorites are: The Dark Half Needful Things Insomnia Tommyknockers Green Mile I would NOT recommend: The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon From a Buick 8 Rose Madder (borderline. I dont quite hate this one, just not one of my favorites).
