While traditions involving the prom queen vary between institutions, there are a number of duties common to most secondary schools and colleges. Dress the Part A prom queen is required to maintain a fashion sense in keeping with her new status as “school royalty.” Often the coronation will take place during the prom, during which she should wear an outfit in keeping with the occasion.
