What are some customizations that have been done with the API?
An Ivy League university library is using API customizations to provide public kiosks to students and faculty for walk-up scanning. This solution replaced the log on feature with a Start button so anyone could scan with authentication and placed two destination options — USB and FTP — on the Main tab. With this solution, anyone can scan a document and save to a USB removable drive or upload it to an ftp site after entering their name, password, and directory location. Another example is Stewart Title Company, which is using API customizations to deliver scanned documents into its proprietary SureClose sales management database nationwide. After a user logs on and scans the document, he/she enters additional data, such as case number and contact email address, before completing the job submission.
