What are some common misconceptions about people from Scotland?
Scots people all wear kilts all the time. None ever wear underwear under their kilt. They start the day with a bowl of oatmeal porridge. Their main meal is haggis – every day – even out of haggis season. Scots are all short, fat, red-haired, hairy people who would stab you as soon as look at you. Aberdonians have short arms and long pockets. Scots’ wellies have two openings – one for their own feet and the other for the sheep’s feet. When the Royal Mail van reaches the border they stop and offload the mail to horse riders, as there are no proper roads in Scotland. We all love the bagpipes’ skirl. That’s about it for now. Haste ye back.
