What are some challenging acoustic guitar songs to learn?
I learnt Beatles stuff back in the early 70s – great for learning new chords. JL & PM had the tricky-chord progression thing off to a “T”! Anything by Paul Simon / Simon & Garfunkel is tricky – Simon loves his jazzy chords, key changes, shifts of tempo, and so on. It is deceptively simple material. If you’re feeling really ambitious, then try Stevie Wonder songs. He modulates from one key to another with unbelievable dexterity. If you can play Stevie’s stuff on guitar, then you’re a helluva guitar player! Good Luck.
