Voiding can be caused by either moisture or lower molecular weight components (from the adhesive or the substrate) that are volatilized into the bondline during cure. Voiding can also be caused by air entrapment in the adhesive during processing, as well as entrapping air in the material during syringe handling (freeze thaw voids).
