What are some careers working with endangered species and wildlife conservation?

There are a lot of jobs with state and federal governments, such as Conservation Biologist, Restoration Ecologist, Botanist, Ecologist, etc. Many of these jobs involved performing rare plant surveys, habitat restoration, invasive species control, etc. These jobs require a Bachelor or Master’s degree in biology, environmental science, wildlife ecology, or related field. If you want to be a serious conservationist focusing on one species, you may need a PhD. A PhD is the highest degree and usually qualifies you as an “expert” in the field. Start out with your Bachelor and see how you like it. Do a lot of independent studies and research projects to get ahead. Good luck!
