What are some careers that use pre-calculus, including vectors and/or conic sections?
Any career that is math intensive is going to be using the concepts from pre-calculus and vectors. So, you have all flavors of engineering (mechanical, electrical, chemical, civil, etc.). You have pretty much all physics, chemistry. An awful lot of biology. And then, if you want to stretch it, almost any field can have advanced mathematics applied to it. From the people who attempt to mathematically model the stock market, to the people who try to predict the weather, to the people who write algorithms to help farmers who plant test strips figure out what crops are best in their fields. All of these use pre calculus math (and typically quite a lot of calculus and beyond math, which all builds on the concepts covered in a typical pre-calc class).
